It’s been a while since I’ve given an update on real estate in Vancouver, and it’s safe to say a lot has changed since my last update in 2019. With the pandemic starting in early 2020, we now in 2021 have had an significant year in many aspects, especially in the market. Many aspects of life have changed, and I’m glad to have had cycling and great people around to keep me healthy and happy through it all... and WebEx meetings for being the best at home meeting support!
Despite all the challenges 2020 has presented and what has continued into this year, the support I’ve received through my team, clients, family, and friends has been overwhelming. Thank you all for the messages and feedback from this past year. As a community we have all been able to lift each other up, achieving all of these successes together.
This year, I was nominated for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards as a Woman of Influence nominee. This recognition is such an honour and it’s made better by the fact it comes from doing what I love. All the success stories and love from my clients makes everything worth it. This nomination just highlights the continued appreciation I have for what I do, and it inspires me to keep growing. Thank you to all that have gotten me here.
Vancouver, and Canada’s real estate market as a whole, is becoming highly competitive, and the demand is rising. It seems there’s not enough homes on the market to keep up. A great recent Q&A by Robert Hogue answers all the top questions everyone has right now, as well as some predictions on where the market is going. You can find it here: https://thoughtleadership.rbc.com/hot-canadian-housing-markets-call-for-a-policy-response/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=salesforce&utm_campaign=housing
We will all get through this together, and we will see this through. Sending (virtual) hugs your way! Take care.
Jamie
